Dr. Alex Klein, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Welcome! My name is Dr. Alex Klein, Psy.D. and I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in psychological assessment for children and adults, couples and family therapy, neurodevelopmental differences such as autism spectrum conditions and ADHD, and parenting. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA., and I have obtained extensive training in child, adolescent, and adult psychotherapy and assessment with clients who present with a range of diagnoses. I currently work at the Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center and also have a private practice. If you are looking to work with me in my Kaiser capacity, please call the front desk at (510) 752-1075. If you are hoping to work with me in my private practice, feel free to email me through this website.
In addition to assessment and therapy, I also use my background as a former teacher and school-based therapist, combined with my current role as a psychologist, to consult with school districts and advocate for families to help schools develop more appropriate learning environments for challenging students. I have also begun to consult with employers and other agencies to help them become more neurodiversity-affirming and inclusive in their practices.
My greatest joys are spending time with his family and friends, music, and exploring the outdoors with my wife and twin daughters in the Bay Area.
